Dr. Taryn West, a Chicago native who has now called Atlanta home for over a decade, is excited to bring her expertise in dermatology to the Atlanta Center for Dermatologic Diseases. After moving to Atlanta for her undergraduate studies at Emory University, Dr. West continued her education at Emory's school of medicine. She spent an additional year during medical training to perform research with a focus on blistering diseases and itch. Dr. West completed her internship at Wellstar Kennestone, and then returned to Emory for her residency in dermatology. In her practice, she treats a wide range of skin conditions, from skin cancer and acne to psoriasis and other inflammatory rashes. She is also skilled in performing dermatologic surgery.
Dr. West is a member of the Atlanta Association for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology.
When she's not treating patients, Dr. West enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their two golden retrievers. They can often be found on neighborhood walks, enjoying sunsets on the porch, or exploring the local farmers market.
